The Sabra (Hebrew: סברה, "prickly pear") is an extensively upgraded M60 tank developed by Israel Military Industries. [3] . The Mk II version of this upgrade package was used in one of the Turkish Army 's modernization programs. The Sabra is known as the M60T in Turkish service. [2]

The M60 is an American second-generation main battle tank (MBT). It was officially standardized as the Tank, Combat, Full Tracked: 105-mm Gun, M60 in March 1959. [1] . Although developed from the M48 Patton, the M60 tank series was never officially christened as a Patton tank.

The Mark I engine procures 16.5hp/t and could accelerates from 0 to 32km/h in 9.6 seconds. Range is 450 km on flat. The Sabra can manage a gradient 60%, side slopes of 30%, 2.60m trenches, 0.91 m obstacle and ford without 1.40 m, and up to 2.40m after preparation.

The Israeli-developed "Sabra" is a major modification of the American M60 "Patton" tank with an improved turret, more powerful weapons, improved armor protection, a reinforced chassis and improved battlefield capabilities.
