The Lon Chaney, Jr. “Star Fund” was established to help the Chaney estate raise funds and awareness to procure a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an internationally-recognized Hollywood icon.

Lon Chaney was born April 1, 1883 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was the son of deaf mute parents, Frank and Emma Chaney, and he learned from childhood to communicate through pantomime, sign language and facial expression.

Lon Chaney, Jr. was born Creighton Tull Chaney on February 10, 1906 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of silent screen star Lon Chaney and singing sensation Francis Cleveland Creighton (Cleva).
