Jun 15, 2023 · Thus, in Christian worship, all liturgical space (chancel and nave) becomes the locus of sacramental encounter with the life of heaven among us. It is wise for the structure and arrangement of liturgical space to embody this open access in Christ as clearly as possible.

The Holy Spirit, symbolised by the dove with the wings of flame, empowers and guides us to be witnesses to Jesus Christ. The white semi-circle at the base reminds us that we are uniting. Being only a half circle prompts us to continue to seek the unity of Christ’s church.
