The LSWR T3 class is a class of express passenger 4-4-0 steam locomotives designed for the London and South Western Railway by William Adams. Twenty were constructed between 1892 and 1893. One, No. 563, has been preserved and restored to full working order.

The class T3 locomotive was one of the family of four similar 4-4-0s introduced by Adams from 1890 onwards. These four classes represented the pinnacle of his career and were at least on par with, and in many cases better than, contemporary locomotives of other lines.

Jan 12, 2015 · Twenty ‘T3’ locomotives were built at Nine Elms works between 1890 and 1893, and numbered 557-576. When new, allocations were shared between Nine Elms, Northam (Southampton), Fratton, Salisbury and Exmouth Junction.

Adams LSWR Class T3 4-4-0 No 563 was built at Nine Elms Works for the harder express and mail runs from Waterloo. Twenty were constructed between 1892–1893. The class was numbered 557–576, and had been intended as a variant of the X2 class with slightly smaller driving wheels (6 ft 7 in versus 7 ft 1 in).
