
L3/35 - Wikipedia
The L3/35, also known as the Carro Veloce CV-35, was an Italian tankette that saw combat before and during World War II. [1] It was one of the smallest tanks that faced combat. [citation needed] Although designated a light tank by the Italian Army, its turretless configuration, weight and firepower make it closer to contemporary tankettes.

This new model was mass-produced, and manys CV-33 (renamed L3/33 in 1938) were retrofitted alongside the L3/35 specifications. The L3/35 armor was also slightly heavier, but the vehicle had a more powerful FIAT SVA petrol engine, and the speed was almost unchanged.

These tanks did not gain much of a reputation there and were nicknamed ‘lata de sardinas’ (sardine tin) because of their small space and poor armor, and ‘topolino’, the Italian name for Mickey Mouse.
