Despite how busy the reservoir can get in the summer, there are still places where you can experience the solitude and quiet of the forest. Amenities range from large campgrounds with electric hook-ups, showers, and flush toilets to boat-in campgrounds with simple outhouses.

Ten campgrounds of varying sizes and facilities are available. The Dewdrop, Kiasutha, Red Bridge, Tracy Ridge, and Willow Bay campgrounds provide campsites suitable for trailers and motor homes as well as tents. The remaining five campgrounds are only accessible by either hiking or boating.
