SF Day’s Lower School’s educational philosophy is grounded in foundational academic skills where students learn how to learn – metacognition – while also developing a complex sense of identity as an individual community member and learner.

Under the leadership of division heads, Dr. Kaili Hwang and Dr. Ruth Bissell, SF Day has created an educational environment that values not just mastery, but pride in risk-taking, collaboration, and learning from mistakes.

My interests broadly include machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, multi-modality modeling, information retrieval, question answering, dialog systems, knowledge graphs, etc. I’m working at Microsoft as an Applied Scientist, where I work on natural language processing and multi-modality modeling.
