Oct 17, 2021 · I also have a 2018 TLX A-spec V6 (FWD); engine blew out on me at 43k miles during a spirited drive in the mountains/hwy. Destroyed two connecting rods and needed a new engine. Good thing it's covered under Acura's powertrain warranty. Car was always maintained on schedule at the Acura dealership.
Valve Adjustment Really Needed? : r/Honda - Reddit
Jun 16, 2021 · I have both the j35 V6 and k24 4cyl with 150k miles and wondering if valve adjustment is really needed. The engines sound normal and have mostly Highway miles. Also, why does Honda use fixed valves rather than hydraulic (which adjust themselves over time)?

Honda 2.0t (K20C) vs. 3.5 v6 (J35) reliability? : r/MechanicAdvice
Feb 20, 2022 · This may be a bit premature to ask, but what do you guys think of the newer trend towards using smaller displacement engines with turbos vs. the old J35 v6? I'm considering picking up an Accord soon (or possibly TLX), and the 2018+ 2.0t is somewhat appealing because of the better gas mileage (nearly $4/gal by me for premium) and slightly better ...
Honda j35 v6 swap worth? : r/Miata - Reddit
Aug 9, 2021 · Not looking for insane hp like a V8, but something a little more then stock. Any tips, tricks, or concerns would be appreciated!
Obliterated Honda Accord J35 V6 Teardown. Customer States
Jan 29, 2023 · “These engines power old pieces off shit? These engines are in everything?” You clearly must be trolling or you’re a run of the mill idiot that doesn’t know shit about these phenomenal engines. Big 3 Japanese V6s, ranked : r/cars - Reddit
Nov 15, 2021 · Having recently cross-shopped V6 Camrys and Accords, I agree with OP’s assessment. Could be down to gearing, tuning, or a million other technical things, but the 2GR just felt like it was more comfortable at lower revs. There is an urgency to how the J35 builds power that released a few more happy molecules for me, so I went with the Accord.
3.5L V6 DI : r/hondapassport - Reddit
As someone who currently drives a 2007 vehicle (Saturn Vue) with the Honda J35 Series V6, the engine in the Passport is a major reason I'm considering it for my next vehicle. Just make sure you get the oil changed, and sparkplugs and timing belt at suggested intervals, and that engine will keep going like day 1 for many years.
Turbo kit for 2015 Accord Sport 9th gen 3.5L V6 : r/accord - Reddit

B8444S V8 swap into 8th gen Accord V6 4 door : r/cars - Reddit
Apr 22, 2021 · I've rebuilt my J35 V6 twice and it died on me both times after a month or two of running good due to head oil leakages, in my '10 8th gen Accord 4 door auto. Now I wanna try something different and have gotten pretty comfortable with getting dirty and creative working on engines. I know the swap seems far fetched.
