Interleukin 15 receptor, alpha subunit - Wikipedia
Interleukin 15 receptor, alpha subunit is a subunit of the interleukin 15 receptor that in humans is encoded by the IL15RA gene. [5] The IL-15 receptor is composed of three subunits: IL-15R alpha, CD122, and CD132. Two of these subunits, CD122 and CD132, are shared with the receptor for IL-2, but IL-2 receptor has an additional subunit (CD25).

Dec 25, 2024 · IL15RA (Interleukin 15 Receptor Subunit Alpha) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with IL15RA include Capillary Disease and Capillary Leak Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Akt Signaling and Cytokine Signaling in Immune system.
IL15RA interleukin 15 receptor subunit alpha [ (human)]
Gene ID: 3601, updated on 8-Feb-2025. This gene encodes a cytokine receptor that specifically binds interleukin 15 (IL15) with high affinity. The receptors of IL15 and IL2 share two subunits, IL2R beta and IL2R gamma. This forms the basis of …
Interleukin-15 receptor - Wikipedia
Interleukin-15 receptor is a type I cytokine receptor, binding interleukin-15. [2] The IL-15 receptor is composed of the IL-2Rβ and γc subunits, along with a unique ligand-specific subunit, IL-15Rα, which bears homology to IL-2Rα. These receptor proteins feature protein-binding motifs known as "sushi domains."

Feb 8, 2025 · Unlike IL2RA, IL15RA is capable of binding IL15 with high affinity independent of other subunits, which suggests distinct roles between IL15 and IL2. This receptor is reported to enhance cell proliferation and expression of apoptosis inhibitor BCL2L1/BCL2-XL and BCL2.

The IL-15 receptor α chain cytoplasmic domain is critical for …
Dec 1, 2008 · IL-15 is critical for natural killer (NK)–cell development and function and for memory CD8 + T-cell homeostasis. The IL-15 receptor consists of IL-15Rα, IL-2Rβ, and the common cytokine receptor γ chain (γ c). IL-15Rα is known to “ trans -present” IL-15 to an IL-2Rβ/γ c heterodimeric receptor on responding cells to initiate signaling.
