Jul 14, 2014 · It sounds like the locking bar in the door has worn at the point where the euro lock goes (euro lock is the part the key fit into). To check this you are going to have to remove the euro lock, this is quite simple to do. It would be best if you could post a pic or two of you door handle. One from the inside and one of the lock from the door edge.

Oct 7, 2023 · The front and rear door on the house do have the same type/brand of multipoint lock though so after having a play with the front door to familiarise myself with exactly how it worked, I measured from the centre of the handle to one of the multipoint locks and transferred the measurement to the rear door so I was in the ball park straight away.

Apr 16, 2011 · There's no lock fitted at all. Logically, I'm trying to fit the ball catch in line with the door knob in order to minimise the effort needed to push the door open. The glass door knobs are connected together via a 48mm length of M4 studding which allows me to screw them back to back on the door.

Nov 20, 2015 · With the door open, take the handles off and have a look at the inside of the handles and there may be a spring in the handle that returns the handle to its original position. These do wear out and need replacing, easily available on the net , just type in upvc handle spares and you should get them in a day or so.

The external door is a traditional wooden raised 6 panel door. Similar to No. 10 - the prime ministers house, thats the most accurate description I can picture into your minds.

Oct 5, 2024 · Please help. I’ve tried everything. My French doors won’t lock. I lift the handle up and the locking bolts of the door appear to drop into place and the handle lifts. I put the key in the barrel and it appears to lock fine. Then when I remove the key I can press down the handle and the door opens again.
