To use a push dagger, hold it in your dominant hand with the blade pointing forward. Grip the handle with your palm facing down and use your fingers to control the blade. When you are ready to attack, thrust the blade forward and into your opponent.

I can see their utility as a holdout weapon for a tactical operative like SWAT or special forces. If you happen to get into a grapple with an enemy, its easy enough to just draw and start stabbing until your opponent stops moving.
