The trail system north of Nelsonville provides approximately 70 miles of trails for off-road vehicle, hiking, and mountain bike use. Trails are open for use from April 15th through December 15th each year.

With over 14 miles of trails ranging in difficulty, ATV riding is a great way to access the natural beauty and landscapes of Hocking with no experience necessary. Guided and unguided trail riding is offered, as well as one-on-one training.

As the largest off-highway vehicle (OHV) trail system in Ohio, The Wayne is known for its premier OHV trails. The Wayne National Forest provides some excellent opportunities for riding OHVs on four different designated trail systems on both the Athens and Ironton ranger districts.
