Sep 21, 2019 · 1) the snake is inserted into the sake and the snake essentially drowns in the sake. They say that in this method the snake's mouth is usually open in the bottle. 2)they put the snake on ice until it passes out, at which point its bled out and then left to wake up. When it wakes, it dies. At which point it is inserted into the bottle of sake.

Nov 21, 2021 · Hm here. Can confirm went straight to exact same job after navy. Didnt even have to use my GI bill 🤷🏽♂️. I had a small bottle of habu sake from oki from a few years back but the shit broke in shipping and made all the stuff that was with it stink sooooo bad lol.

Feb 19, 2023 · It's called Habu Sake. What happens is you freeze a live snake, put it in the bottle, it defrosts and releases a lot of its venom. The venom has a paralysis effect on the liver in small doses, makes it VERY easy to get drunk. In larger quantities it can lead to hospitalization or death, because the liver can't process any of the alcohol.

Habu in Okinawa is psychological warfare 🤣🤣🤣 I have spent years in Okinawa, Not even once have I seen them. HABU SAKE doesn't count. I have seen my share of Spider. I even went in the Northern Area close and around the Military Jungle Training area. NOTHING 🤣🤣🤣

Oct 16, 2017 · The Habu snake is incredibly poisonous, and having it in a sake jar is a touristy-fun thing to try (I used to start off the night with two shots of it when honching in Yokosuska, the bartender dubbed me HABU after a while).
