May 20, 2012 · The names on the patent are some of the early designers at HK GmbH in the later 60-80's - Moeller, Brandl. Moeller later became the R&D Director and was famous for opposing things that made sales sense (building the Glock 17 for example) over items that looked innovative (more roller-locked guns, a GMG firing from a drum).

Nov 28, 2011 · I'd like to thank G3Kurz/Jim for all the various interesting info on the P11, G11, HK shotguns, and various other platforms (the G11 good/bad/ugly slideshow especially) that he shared throughout the years. I'm saddened to learn of his passing. Also, Teufelshund, I've watched probably over half your videos. Great info.

Dec 13, 2024 · The engineering and design is really cool and its similarity to the Mauser HSc it is largely a development from is interesting. The fact it was adopted as the P11 is also cool (some people collect all of the “P”’s). It has weaknesses that keep it from being anywhere near a first choice for carry imo.
