
Does anybody know what this is growing out of my Aloe Vera?
And there’s one called Lace Aloe that used to be in the Aloe genus, but is now in its very own: Aristaloe. Sure fire way to tell if it’s an aloe or haworthia will be the flower color. Aloe blooms are clusters of red, orange or yellow tubular-shaped bells, while haworthia flowers are tiny and white. Aristaloe flowers look more like aloe flowers.

May 31, 2015 · This probably isn't the best method but I feel that it's the best way for me to avoid over-watering something. Most plants will become limp and floppy when they need water, and I imagine this is the same for aloe vera (although I'm quite new to owning aloe plants, so don't quote me on that, I'm going by trial and error).

Letting it get too cold can have the same effect, so don’t let your aloe get colder than 50 degrees F. (10 C.). Too much water can also be an issue and lead to an aloe plant flopping over. A simple watering strategy for aloe is to wait for the soil to dry out entirely and then wet it completely. Tip out any excess water.

Apr 7, 2021 · I don't have experience, but aloe, just like other succulents uses CAM photosynthesis, which means that it absorbs CO2 only at night, the reverse of non-succulent plants. This is a big limiting factor and explains why succulents grow slowly. Not sure if hydro would help and how much if the photosynthetic bottleneck if very narrow.

If I plant it in the ground, I can't bring it in. On the flip side, I don't have indoors spaces that get good sun so I struggle with winterizing plants in pots.
