GO Transit currently operates two types of buses: single-decker highway coaches, constituting 75% of the active fleet; and commuter-type double-decker buses, constituting the remaining 25%. All vehicles run on diesel fuel.

GO Transit 2100-2113 were MCI D4500 buses built in March 2001. All models are 45 feet in length with seating for 57 individuals. All D4500s of this series are equipped with wheelchair lifts and have two wheelchair positions through seat adjustment. They were the first MCI D-Series coaches purchased by GO Transit.

Welcome to the GO Transit MCI D4500 photo gallery. GO Transit operates 167 Motor Coach Industries D4500 coaches (#2100-2266) built from 2001-2004. The coaches are all powered by the Detriot Diesel Series 60 engines, except for the last 51 buses which are powered by a Caterpillar C13 engine.

In the mid 2000’s, GO Transit decided to switch things up and go with the slightly longer MCI D4500 coach bus, the most modern iteration of the popular coach design. This coach could accommodate 57 passengers rather than the 49 on the previous models.
