Grindr is an app where you are really just seen as an object, so in a way it's expected. I would avoid it honestly, especially because anon hookups tend to be a bad idea for trans folk. If you do decide to go ahead and use, be upfront about being trans in bio and restate it in conversation.

Overall, Grindr is great. If you're a little too nervous to have a hookup Grindr is a great resource to have a quick sexting with someone and get your rocks off at home "with a bud" if you're horny. Ime in my city and where I'm at in transition the category of chaser that I felt most hassled by was actually guys who were pretty knowledgeable about what being trans meant and how to find/speak to trans men.
