Apr 12, 2023 · Is it opposite day again? Seriously, the FG-42 is a excellent weapon, the Auto is a close combat option but usually the semi mode works perfectly aswell. Its accurate, good mag size, it packs some punch, optional auto fire... what else can you ask for? It's the best rifle in the game fully upgraded.

Aug 28, 2020 · Amusingly the FG42 was a running joke in the German military during the war. It was sort of a not-assault rifle assault rifle. The intermediate round is really what makes an assault rifle by most/many definitions. The FG-42 certainly did not do that.

It’s effective as an LMG for the era, firing open bolt in automatic, with good recoil controls engineered in, that’s capable of use as a closed-bolt semi-auto battle rifle when MG work isn’t needed to save on maintenance and ammo.

Jan 26, 2022 · I understand the FG 42 is a great rifle overall but I am referring to it’s sniper capability in comparison to the sniper versions of the Kar98k and Gewehr 43. The zoom lvl is the same as the Kar98k. But its less precise than the gewehr which got a smaller zoom.

Apr 9, 2020 · What is the general consensus on the SMG Guns FG42 clone rifles? I’ve seen several videos about them and read a few articles, but I thought I’d seek some real life opinions here if anyone owns one or has handled/shot one in person.

Then the final big bullshit point of the FG making it more like a gun from COD Vanguard than any stretch of reality - the 10 round M10-42 magazines. Intended for a parachute jump that never happened, made in tiny numbers, never issued to anyone.
