The Four Fiends (四つのカオス, Yottsu no Kaosu?, lit. Four Chaoses) are the primary bosses in the original Final Fantasy, consisting of Lich of Earth, Marilith of Fire (Kary in the NES version), Kraken of Water, and Tiamat of Wind.

Four Heavenly Kings" or "The Big Four) is a group of recurring enemies and characters in the Final Fantasy series. They are often associated with the four elemental forces— earth, fire, water, and wind. They can be seen as counterbalances to the four crystals, as the Four Fiends often seek to subvert the influence the crystals have on the world.

Marilith, also known as KARY (a mistranslation of Kali) or Marylis, is the Fiend of Fire from the original Final Fantasy. She appears in Mount Gulg as a woman with the lower body of a snake and has six arms, each wielding a sword.

With seven floors of nasty enemies, the Temple of Fiends Past is the longest singular dungeon in the game. Sure, it's an eight-floor trek to reach TIAMAT starting from the Mirage Tower, but these floors are all huge, and you'll visit several of them more than once.
