The Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District was created in 1973 to address these needs. The District oversees planned development of the harbors and ports within its boundaries, as well as protection of the natural resources located here.

Woodley Island Marina is the largest marina on Humboldt Bay. It is a full-service marina with 237 slips for commercial, recreational, research and safety vessels, guest docking facilities, hoists, work area, café and bar, laundry facilities, ships chandlery and boat sales, rentals and lessons.

The Harbor Division is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the City’s Public Marina and maintenance of other waterfront property and structures.
