Emergency! is an American action-adventure medical drama television series jointly produced by Mark VII Limited and Universal Television.

'Emergency!' follows the adventures of paramedics John Gage and Roy DeSoto (Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe) of the Los Angeles County Fire Department's Station 51. Rescuing injured patients from crime scenes and accident sites, the pair works closely with the emergency room staff at Rampart General Hospital in a concerted effort to save lives.

Station 51 is assigned to fight up a wildfire. John and Roy protect an elderly woman with her sister, treat an injured firefighter, deliver a baby, catch a looter, and find a boy's lost dog. Dixie treats a boy with a broken arm.

In Los Angeles, firefighters train to certify as FF/PM, employed through the L.A. County Fire Department. The newly-built Station 51 has one full-size Engine and a smaller rescue squad truck which carries state of the art equipment used by the FF/PMs.
