Mar 31, 2022 · Elex 2 gameplay is FAR better than Elex 1 and its not even close. Animations, jetpack, targeting, fluidity, gameplay options (ranged, 1h, magic) was MUCH better in every way than Elex 1. In fact when I play Elex 1 it just makes me want to go back to Elex 2 lol.

Jun 30, 2022 · Elex 1 combat is boring and incredibly frustrating at times but the world is more fleshed out. The story is good as well. Elex 2 has much funner combat with better animations and the jetpack changes are an amazing addition.

Jan 30, 2023 · Elex 1 is very big in itself, but MUCH more rewarding and varying that Elex 2. Only major improvement in elex 2 besides the ietpack that I see is with melee combat, although at the cost of it being even more dumbed down.

Oct 10, 2022 · There are various differences, and while the appearance of NPCs such as but not limited to Caja is questionable, that doesn't affect all other NPCs, and various environmental graphics in ELEX II look better - especially shallow waters and lighting effects.

Nov 1, 2024 · You may be able to draw conclusions about "the verdict" when checking the overall results in the reviews system. Both ELEX games polarize (72% Mostly Positive for ELEX and 74% for ELEX II). Not sure what "mixed things" you may have "heard".

Dec 6, 2021 · Do you need to play ELEX before ELEX 2? Short answer: No. Long Answer: Elex 2 does a pretty solid job filling you in on most details, but there's more context that can be gained from playing the original game, of course.

Sep 11, 2022 · Elex 1 is the better game, Elex 2 is both more accessible and more forgettable. For me, 1 is the clear winner. Quest are better, more intertwined, with more outcomes later on. Also, I found the combat of 2 to be borderline broken while 1 worked just fine in general.

Nov 9, 2022 · Fans of ELEX should find ELEX II to be an upgrade. The graphics are slightly better, as are the combat system and the range of exploration the game allows for. Many of these improvements are only marginal, however, and those who found frustration with the first game won't find too many differences in the second.
