Nov 16, 2020 · Beyond that, the EZ has ears at the back of the slide so the slide doesn't need to be gripped as tightly to move it. The EZ is a largish pistol in .380 but is still delayed blowback. The 9mm EZ has a heavier slide to compensate for the more powerful cartridge. I imagine the mainspring is slightly heavier as well.

9mm into 380? - Glock Talk
Oct 20, 2020 · Better still is a simple barrel-swap between the .380 (9x17) and the 9mm Makarov (9x18). The cartridges will run in the same mags, and you can still find 9mm Mark ammo at decent prices. Much of what passes for wisdom, was said by Warren Zevon. 🍺

Jul 12, 2020 · For those who really can't because of arthritis or something else, the Shield EZ in either 9mm or .380 may be options, although they are bigger, or a small revolver in .38 spl. As for revolvers with their much heavier trigger pulls, after the first several shots I start using both forefingers to pull the trigger, but that works just fine for me.

Dec 18, 2019 · The very features that make the Shield 9 EZ suitable for the weak and the elderly make it great for the rest of us too. The recoil spring is definitely lighter than the average 9mm striker gun, though not quite as light as that of the 380 EZ. By way of some secret, dark magic, the gun is also a pretty soft shooter.
