Opened Feb. 15, 1931, the three-level hall replaces the original Dudley Building that was constructed in 1893, but destroyed by fire in 1930. As with its predecessor, the second Dudley Building has been popular and its uses varied.

"Aeroplane View of Campus" from 1925-1926 Bulletin of the A&T College. The building in the very center is "Old Dudley Hall", A&T's very first building. It was destroyed in a fire in 1930, and replaced with the modern Dudley Memorial Hall.

The central image depicts the "Administration Building" later known as the first "Dudley Hall". It was completed in September of 1893, and the doors opened to students the first week of November.

This building is named for the second president of the university, James Benson Dudley. It was built in 1930 and occupied on February 15, 1931. The H. Clinton Taylor Art gallery and the Mattye Reed African Heritage Center are housed in Dudley.

Sep 29, 2023 · By some accounts, the most that was offered in agriculture were lectures and a few shrubs for planting. The new college was finally settled in Greensboro, and students began to occupy the first building, the Old Dudley Hall in November 1893.

Additionally, the halls provide easy walks the Bluford Library, McNair Hall (School of Engineering), Williams Cafeteria, Frazier Hall (Music & Bands), and Dudley Building (University Art Gallery).

Built between 1922 and 1939, the buildings are a mixture of Colonial Revival and Classical Revival architecture. Significant buildings within the district include Noble, Morrison, and Murphy Halls; Richard B. Harrison Auditorium; and the James B. Dudley Memorial Building.

The University Galleries are located in A&T’s historic Dudley Memorial Building. Built in 1930, the building originally housed the college's administrative offices, in addition to an auditorium and library on the main and top level, respectively.

The University operates several programs in physical facilities external to the campus.
