Sep 12, 2007 · After a trip to my local dealer this evening to get my first look at the new '08 colors I have to concur -- Dark Candy Apple Red is a disappointment, and Vapor is a pleasant surprise. I'm not usually a huge fan of silvers and grays, but Vapor is one fine looking color on this car!

May 14, 2009 · Redfire ≠ Candy Apple Red. I definitely think black with a polished lip looks great on Redfire. I bet it'd look good on DCAR... But there aren't any damn pictures out there! I'm thinking about black chrome... It's got that dark look but isn't too black.

Apr 1, 2008 · Hey, I want to know what people think about the red color change. I loved the redfire. Heck, I even bought my Expedition in redfire. The new DCR for 08 is not as pretty as the redfire (personal opinion of course). It just doesn't seem to "pop". I am interested to see what the general Mustang populatiuon thinks of this change.

Jul 18, 2010 · I really like the Candy Apple Red Metallic paint that for is offering for 2011. Howeverform what I understand, the metallic color comes from the clearcoat. My question is this- will the clearcoat fade over time and will the candy apple color go to crap? If so, is there a way to protect against it?
