The second season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine debuted on 26 September 1993, with twenty six episodes that ran through 12 June 1994. In their second year together, the crew of Deep Space 9 face problems that will affect the galaxy forever.

DS9 II was designed to be the premier operations hub for all deep space assignments in the Bajoran sector, despite the collapse of the Bajoran wormhole. The new station was made up of three intersecting rings, perpendicular to each other, with a central spherical core.
