This dish features the highly collectable and much sought after pattern Clupea - or Herring Design. There is a pretty border around the rim which features a shoal of little stylised blue fishes swimming about nose to tail - and with a slightly atomic pattern made up of what looks like flower heads and onions.

These fabulous dishes were designed for the Figgjo Flint company by Turi Gramstad Oliver in the 1960s. The name of the pattern is Clupea, or "Herring", which adorn the pieces in a stylized band of geometric shapes and bright colors. The fish seem laid out ready for roasting with abstract onions and bay leaves (and could those be sprigs of dill?).

The 'Clupea', or herring, pattern is highly collectable and much sought-after. The pattern forms a band around the outside of the dish featuring a shoal of little stylized blue fishes - shown in an upright position - under a ring of slightly 'atomic' looking flower heads and onions.
