Mar 26, 2010 · This was considered the 99285 caveat by the Wisconsin Medical Society, and a lot of ED physicians used this as well. However, WPS-Medicare does not recognize this anymore, and it was removed from WMS website. Hope this helps.

Usually it is depending upon the documentation the provider gives as to "why" the exam cannot be performed or performed completely if you can justify a caveat of the exam. You should be able to find the information you need from there.
