Honda CRF250X 2006 Reviews - ThumperTalk
Feb 23, 2013 · The CRF250X is a fantastic, all-around, swiss-army knife bike for trail riding (especially once I changed the gearing out for 13/48). It's a bit heavy, especially if you add protection, but for the year (mine's a 2006), finding parts is extremely easy as Honda did very few changes between the years of 2004-2017.
Thinking about buying a 250X - CRF250X - ThumperTalk
Jan 20, 2025 · You'll find the number one complaint of past / current CRF250X owners is usually the lack of a 6th gear. Stock suspension is a toss-up, spring rates are optimal for a 160lbs rider but the valving not particularly great, too stiff for low speed technical stuff and, too soft for faster paced or 'MX' style riding/jumping.

Jul 5, 2013 · The CRF250X has mounting tabs on the right radiator for a cooling fan. Some riders say the "optional" fan is unnecessary. However, I discovered if you are climbing 5,000 feet of steep terrain, in summer, in the Rocky Mountains, you certainly do need the "optional" fan. The Honda Cooling Fan Set i...
Piston choice - CRF250X - ThumperTalk
Dec 31, 2008 · Just wondering what high comp piston I should chuck in my '08 CRF250X. I have no idea what the best is. I'm looking to move power to the top end as thats what I'm used to having ridden mostly 2t and my last 4t which had the power in the top end but i'm under the assumption a performance piston is across the board.
Problems with 2005-ish Crf250X? - ThumperTalk
Feb 2, 2018 · The early model heads are interchangeable thru any model year CRF250X but later model ones have an emissions device (PAIR valve) so a small port must be blocked off (common mod, search 'CRF250X block off kit'). 2004-09 CRF250R cylinder heads also interchange and are sometimes preferred for better flow characteristics.

Aug 27, 2007 · I agree with PDX Munkle. The Dr. D pipe with the low boy header & the quiet insert is the perfect 250X pipe. . The longer header provides better low-mid range, and the large diameter muffler and mid-pipe allow the engine to breathe for much improved top
