
Brian Tolle Studio
Two allegorical sculptures representing Brooklyn and Manhattan were relocated to the Brooklyn Museum. In this project Tolle brings contemporary replicas of the figures cast in translucent fiberglass resin, close to their original site, where they spin in a perpetual dance above the street.

Twisted chimney dominates valley skyline - briantollestudio.com
Tolle's first permanent UK artwork represents a former ironworks chimney that once stood in the Rhymney Valley. Hand carved out of steel, the £180,000 sculpture is 16 metres in length and twists eight metres into the air. Tolle is renowned for using history as the basis for his artwork.

Brian Tolle's Irish Hunger Memorial which occupies a half acre site in lower Manhattan, on the intersection of North End Avenue and Vesey Street, was unveiled in 2002. It commemorates the Irish Famine of the 18405 and the huge numbers of Irish men and women who migrated to North America. Financed to the tune of about $5 million by Battery Park City
Tolle attests to the Fifth Province by insuring that his poetic text—the site as work of art—remains answerable to an ethical context of responsibility.
