The policies and general operations in Bainbridge are controlled by three trustees and a fiscal officer who work with over 100 employees at the Town Hall, Fire, Police, and Road Departments.
Bainbridge Township’s history starts with the McConoughey family’s trek from Blandford, Massachusetts, in 1811, six years before the township was founded. After their 600-mile trip, they arrived to become the first residents of Bainbridge.

The applications for zoning certificates are available at Bainbridge Town Hall located at 17826 Chillicothe Road behind the Fire Department. Applications are also available at the Bainbridge Township website under Zoning Forms and Fees.
Bainbridge Township has a wealth of public parks and buildings which are available for use by our residents seven days a week from dawn to dusk. This includes athletic fields for team activities, passive park areas, and indoor meeting facilities providing a multitude of recreational opportunities to the public.
Over three thousand students attend the schools, all of which are located in Bainbridge. Kenston continues to score among the top school districts across the state in the Ohio Department of Education’s annual Ohio School Report Card.
