Feb 15, 2022 · TRX4 is the best IMO (2 speed trans, locking diffs, portals, reliable). I like SCX10 but reliability issues and plastic quality isn't as good as traxxas, still, they look amazing with the stock body and im sure there will be plenty of upgrades/parts in the future. Enduro is good too, but body is not nearly as good or detailed as Axial or Traxxas.

Jan 11, 2023 · TRX4M is for sure a better trail truck than SCX24 because it’s faster and the battery is 2x bigger. SCX24 is a much better crawler out of the box. I think the only obstacles where the TRX4M would do better in stock form are those where tire size is critical, and that’s just mostly a scale difference.

Nov 3, 2023 · Traxxas crawler are geared more towards trail crawling, axial crawler are geared more towards rock crawling. Traxxas rigs are a lot beefier and heavier and are much more stable at higher speeds (and geared to go faster), ats a downside they have a worse COG break-over angles and bump steer at extreme articulation.

Apr 23, 2023 · I have a Traxxas Defender and an Axial SCX10 III Jeep. Both do well out of the box, but I find the Traxxas slightly better in performance and runs smoother. Both will significantly perform better with a bit of brass down low, especially the top heavy Defender body.

Of course, I’m still curious about how the Axial SCX10 stacks up against the Traxxas, so I checked out a few comparison videos on YouTube (the one below is especially well done), and it seems like the Traxxas TRX4 is going to give the Axial SCX crawlers a run for their money.
