At AWASA meetings we are addressing these issues with aggressive spay/neuter assistance, adoption of rescued animals, working to provide vaccines in low economic areas, and providing education of resources in our community.

Annually AWASA submits an application for spay and neuter funds to the Arizona Companion Animal Pet Friendly Spay and Neuter License Plate Committee. This funding is a great asset and increases the number of companion animals we can spay and neuter each year.

Through private and public grants, AWASA has the opportunity to administer spay and neuter services for companion animals. In 2010 we were permitted to add an avenue to alter feral cats in our community through two of those grants.

AWASA is best known for free spay and neuter services. As part of our commitment to the community, AWASA provide biannual clinics administering free vaccines and mini exams for Tucson animals in need.
