Hey guys, So, I got myself a B8.5 S4 and I'm looking for an exhaust upgrade, since it sounds VERY raspy. All I can find are video's of people mounting X-pipes on their cars instead of an H-pipe, although an H-pipe sounds much deeper and less raspy, which is why I don't get the X-pipe hype all over the web.

Bigger car, gas mileage should be close enough to the s3 within a couple MPG’s since it’s a turbo motor as well, it’s a faster car, sounds better, the s4 basically does every single thing the s3 does but better, you’d definitely feel more fulfilled having the s4 over the s3.

So far my fastest 0-60 time on Dragy was a 3.06 on the street with the Continental sport contact tires. I have an 1/8 mile drag strip near by and I don’t think I’ve lost a race since going stage 2.

Damn, good for you! Nice job. My old B7 S4 had all this done, but thankfully by the previous owner at a performance shop. You saved yourself a ton in labor costs by DIY. The receipts I had of the work from the previous owner was about $5k just in labor and replacement of only the timing chain and components.
