Nov 15, 2015 · Well "arowana" and "smallest" really don't belong in the same sentence. The only aros available for you to own are blacks, silvers and the two austrailian aros. All the prementioned require very large tanks. Blacks and silvers can be housed with many different tankmates, were as the austrialians are more of a individule fish.

Jul 17, 2008 · Arowana come from waters that are slightly acidic. I myself would not keep an silver arowana in a pH of anything higher then 7.0. Changing and balancing the pH can be dangerous a sometimes tricky, so it is best you research this alot and not just dump chemicals in your tank.

Aug 10, 2016 · Hi all, I'm wondering why my 12-inch Banjar arowana sitting at bottom of the tank and not moving anywhere. Since last week she's giving some weird symptoms of stay bottom of the tank. Stay still at one particular corner of the tank not moving at all. My Arowana is eating. I didn't change my Arowana to any new tank for the past 7 months.

SIlvers and Blacks, especially, are quite limber and turn in a very tight space much like ribbon tied to a stick waived by a child. Once the head turns, the body bends sharply and follows that same path. In my opinion, once minimum width is established, length is far more important.
