Dec 21, 2017 · WENATCHEE- A new Chelan County Superior Court Judge to replace retiring Judge Alicia Nakata will be selected next week according to Stevie Mathews with Governor Jay Inslee’s office. “The Governor hopes to make one of the appointments before the first of the year, and one appointment after January 1st,” Mathews said.

Judge Alicia H. Nakata was born and raised in East Wenatchee, Washington and is the next-to-the-last of five children. Both her parents are of Japanese ancestry. Judge Nakata's mother was also raised in East Wenatchee but during World War I was removed from high school and placed under house arrest for the duration of the war.

Dec 22, 2017 · OLYMPIA- Gov. Jay Inslee today announced the appointments of Kristin Ferrera to the Chelan County Superior Court. Ferrera replaces Judge Alicia Nakata, who is retiring. Ferrera is currently a partner at Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn & Aylward, P.S. in Wenatchee.
