Sep 1, 2022 · I have the ACOG on a QD mount with regular flip-ups placed in their regular positions, ie the rear sight tucked under the rear of the ACOG. Posted: 9/1/2022 5:33:49 PM EDT [#30]
Sighting in an ACOG at a 25 yard range? - AR15.COM
Nov 29, 2017 · Did my initial sight in at a 25 range, then took it out to 100, then out to 300. It was one or two clicks off... good enough to hit a hog or a hajji. Posted: 11/29/2017 11:51:02 PM EDT
ACOG and Iron Sight question - AR15.COM
Aug 23, 2014 · When you get the acog the mount can be hard to remove since they use loctite on it. Be sure to have a good screw driver to undo it otherwise you'll strip it. As said earlier you can't mount a killflash since it'll block the channel and the acog will rest high so you'll need to make sure you want the setup before hand.
Acog use and standard front sight post - AR15.COM
Jul 6, 2009 · I have the 3X, 3.5X and 4X ACOG's.....and on a CAR length set up, I can see the shadow of the front sight post, mostly with the 3X.....it does bother me, as that is just me. Will not affect the ability to use, as many are set up this way. On my AR's with an ACOG, I either have a flip up BUIS or none at all (just a weaver gas block in the front).
Acog with Front Sight Post - AR15.COM
Dec 29, 2009 · I am looking in to buying an Acog for my Flattop soon, but cannot decide on anything. My main concern is the front sight post blurring the view. Would the blur be less in on a 3x or 4x or is it even a problem? Next, is eye relief. Does .5" or 1" make a ton of difference? Can you post your thoughts and even pics of different models on your rifle?
Best solution to BUIS after ACOG Installation - AR15.COM
Jan 8, 2012 · Otherwise, I have seen folks mount their rear sight in front of the ACOG and zero in that position. As stated, get one of the quick release mounts for the ACOG, so that in the event you need to use the BUIS, you can remove the optic. With the BUIS in front, you should only be using it in the event the ACOG is inoperable for some reason.
Acog and Front Sight - AR15.COM
Feb 26, 2008 · With a 3x mini-ACOG mounted directly to the flat-top it was usable but the front sight was annoying. Any of the full-size ACOGs or mounting the compact on a carry handle and the front sight is no problem at all.
call of duty modern warfare - What counts as an ACOG Scope
Oct 7, 2020 · Hybrid sights allow the user to switch between an ACOG style of scope and a red dot style of scope but typically don't count towards iron sights, red dot, holographic, or ACOG challenges as they are a distinct type of optic already. What this means is that you will be unable to identify an ACOG sight by name alone.
ACOG sight in distance to match reticle - AR15.COM
May 30, 2023 · The issue is optic height. The 25 yard zero is popular for "regular" rifles that have a much lower sight height and people still equate that to AR's even thought the sight height is much greater. That just doesn't work. The taller the sight height, the further downrange your near zero has to be, it's just physics.
Rifle Scopes ACOG OR EOTECH for CQB? - Sniper's Hide
Mar 9, 2009 · The ACOG with the doctor sight is also a good choice but if you want heads up shooting with fastest response possible Eotech is the choice. I have known alot of guys that personaly buy an Eotech to outfit the M4 instead of the issued Aimpoint. Look at what the soldiers buy when they get to choose and most of the time its Eotech!
