GSG/ATI MP40P 9mm, SBR'ed, fixed and upgraded - PICS!
Dec 28, 2023 · I also SBR'ed it and bought the ATI MP40 stock. All-in-all, with the cost of the parts, tax stamp, stock kit, etc - I've turned a $500 gun into a $1K+ gun, but it works (and looks!) significantly better now and the common issues mentioned, like the cocking handle issue, the appearance, and the trigger - are all remedied now.
9mm Glock mag SBR options? - AR15.COM
Dec 2, 2023 · Now that I’ve got a 9mm suppressor (hopefully) nearing approval, I’ve got a serious desire for a 9mm SBR. I’d like something as compact as possible and Glock mag compatibility is a necessity. I like the looks of the B&T APC9 Pro but I’ve never seen one in person. What are the other options besides it and some variety of AR9?
My newest build- 9mm SBR - AR15.COM
Nov 14, 2011 · After receiving my stamps form the ATF for the suppressor and building an SBR, I spent the afternoon assembling my new SBR. Its a 5" barreled 9mm with SWR suppressor. I had assembled most of the lower awhile back. Its a Spikes Biohazard billet lower with Spikes LPK and Timney trigger. I Cerakoted the lower sniper grey.
Best barrel length for an SBR 9mm AR in terms of ergonomics
Jun 5, 2017 · I'm just thinking in terms of what's comfortable to shoot. If I go ahead and built a 9mm AR SBR, I basically want the shortest barrel that's still comfortable to shoot. I've seen barrels as short as 4.5" and free float handguards down to 4". I figure at this length I'd get a quad rail type handguard and attach a VFG once the stamp comes through.
PCC vs AR15 SBR of similar barrel length. Which do you prefer for …
Aug 11, 2022 · They have decent capability for 100 yards and less, 9mm is cheap and widely available, and silencers work great on them. Some people use them for home defense. 5.56 SBR AR15s work great, but generally have longer barrels, work worse with a silencer, and use slightly more expensive ammunition.
PS90 vs 9mm SBR PCC: Best? 9mm better than 5.7x28? - AR15.COM
Feb 18, 2024 · A 9mm can’t be tamed down to the level of their fancy-parts 5.56 guns because the PCCs use a massive bolt to retard the case until pressure is safe and then that massive bolt slams into the buffer. Again, it’s not that they are punishing to shoot, it’s that they are slower to shoot than a 5.56 gun that is also set up properly.
Colt LE6991 9mm SBR - AR15.COM
Nov 22, 2016 · I would think so with some caveats. My Colt 6951 (semi-auto 16" flat top 9mm) upper runs fine on my Colt 614 (factory full-auto) lower, as does a Colt factory 10.5" 9mm barreled upper. You'll need a bunch of other parts, e.g., a 9mm ramped bolt, mag block. See the "Pistol Caliber Carbine" forum for details.
Which SBR/Pistol is quieter? 9mm VS 300blk - AR15.COM
Dec 19, 2017 · The 9mm seams simple just swap springs/buffer untill you get it tuned correct. Main thing I am trying to achieve here is a short, quiet, cheap (to feed) SBR to play with in the back yard. Something the daughter will enjoy shooting.
AR SBR: 9mm or 5.56mm? - AR15.COM
Oct 11, 2005 · I own a 9mm and an SBR. The 9mm is much simpler to suppress and will cycle reliably with subsonic ammo. A suppressed 5.56 is not going to cycle with subsonic, and you will likely strike a baffle. And, IMHO the terminal ballistics of a 147 grain 9mm is nothing to write off. I have taken a hog and deer with mine. and my GF used the 9mm to take ...
Colt 9mm LE6991, Tell me about them - AR15.COM
Sep 6, 2017 · The main contenders are the full SBR Colt, or an SBR MPX-k. The Colt upper would probably work just fine, too. The Colt draws me because of nostalgia and cool factor. Parts are everywhere, IF I hate it I can remove the mag block with a little work and have another SBR. The Sig MPx-K is sexy and a little different.
