I currently have a 93 s10 with a 4.3 tbi and I'm looking for some recommendations for engine performance upgrades. I'm considering heads, intake and cams to start. I'm also considering upgrading the rear drums to disc brakes if possible. I'm a bodyman and I have basic mechanical knowledge but not too knowledgable of engine building.

Apr 2, 2022 · Something overlooked many time on older vehicles s10 or not is two fold. the PVC vacuum tube and the vacuum home to brake booster and or brake booster itself. Both fairly easy to check by unhooking and plugging the line that feeds them on a temporary basis to see if it changes anything. One thing i didnt see mentioned is the IAC valve.

Drop spindles on an s10 should only be a 2" i believe most manufacturers are i know full sizes offer bigger drops on spindles, nothing i've seen for an s10. You have to consider your budget and how low you're willing to go. From there options will start to fall into place.

Feb 9, 2012 · The truck is a 1994 S10, standard cab, Long bed, 2WD, 4.3L V-6, Auto tranny. I was told that only trannys from 94-95 are compatable with each other, due to an electrical connection, but wasn't sure if that info was correct or not. Thanks in advance.
