I'm trying to get everthing back the way it came from the factory. I have the ignition wiring figured out. Where I'm stuck is the little things like the electric choke, lights, guages ect.

Oct 14, 2005 · I'm working on a '79 CJ5 304....among other things, it needs a heater blower motor..... I ordered one from Quadratec, but they say it's mounted in the engine compartment. Well, it isn't really in the engine compartment, the motor housing sticks out thru the firewall, but the heater box on the inside has to be removed to replace the blower motor

Aug 2, 2022 · I have a '79 CJ5. Recently I tried sourcing a blower motor replacement since I had the heater box out for core replacement. Long story short, no joy. All motors have 3" diameters and my stock motor is 2.5". I even called Sam at Parts Dude 4x4 and he reported the same results from his suppliers.

Mar 1, 2014 · I just picked up a 79 cj5 and it has some extras on it so I was wondering how to tell if it was a special edition like a golden eagle or renegade? The jeep has a clock, tach, under hood light, 12 volt lighter under the dash, trim bezel around the gauges, side steps, tilt steering column. I do not see any evidence of decals on the hood or the sides.
