Jul 17, 2013 · 6G6 is a VERY low-power tube - originally made for battery-powered farm radios. 6W6 and 6Y6 have high heater current, high transcondutance, work well at lower voltages (they were often used in voltage regulators due to low voltage drop).

The 6K6GT is an audio output pentode designed for the final audio stage of television and radio receivers. Strapped as a triode it is also rated for service as a frame (vertical) output valve. Electrically it is identical to type 41 it was also released in 1950 with a Loctal base under the type number of 7B5E.

Apr 9, 2022 · Search for the RCA RC30 tube manual online, and go to page 596 for a list of tubes that have the 7AC base. 6CA7 is a Beam Power tube. EL34 is a Pentode. They both have the Beam Formers / Suppressor Grid, respectively, connected to Pin # 1. Connect Pin # 1 to Pin # 8.

Aug 31, 2001 · The pinout of both tubes is identical, being the 7AC type. However the 6V6 will with stand much greater voltage than its cousin the 6K6. I wouldn't dare drop a 6K6 in an amp with plate voltage that exceeded 315.
