Dec 16, 2005 · What is the redline for the 4.7L v8? Tach does not have any "red line" marked. BTW, I have a 2005 1/2 Ton Quad Cab with the 4.7L, 20" wheels, 6 speed manual, and the 3.92 rear end. One guy in another forum said "...the engine makes all its power at 4800 rpm's. i've had mine to 5300 rpm's give or take a couple of hundred, and no rev-limiter yet.

I have read lots of issues and was wondering from those of you that have had this problem, what fixed it for you? Myself, I have replaced the waterpump, thermostat, fan clutch and sending unit.

Jun 6, 2009 · The programmers also work on the 2008 Dodge Ram and Durango, Jeep Cherokee and Commander, and Chrysler Aspen with the 4.7L V8. The awesome thing is that with the programmer the 4.7 gains 47 HP & 51 Ft-Lbs on premium fuel and 39 HP & 42 Ft-Lbs with regular fuel.
