Dec 15, 2024 · Did 3rd Rail have different production runs of their N&W Y6b? If so, were there mechanical or electrical/control differences between the different runs? Is there any consensus as to which ... the Lionel Legacy or the 3rd Rail .... is the better runner?

Dec 5, 2024 · Both 3rd Rail and LNL are finely detailed, but only one has an IR sensor. If WiFi control is ever in your thoughts, as it was in mine, I went for the Lionel Legacy. I just picked up the Legacy version at York.

Jan 10, 2025 · Here is a 3rd Rail O Brass N&W Y-6a & Y-6b 2-8-8-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender #2171. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are nicks and scratches present on both the locomotive and tender.

Dec 11, 2009 · "Jimmy: I do not know what road numbers Scott produced, but the Y6a came with and without lagging and either roller bearing or plain tender trucks depending on the road number. I do not believe Sunset gets into caring if a model is fully correct or not. Looking forward toward your photos. Stephen " The Y6a came as 2156 or 2165.
