(Just take out the Cvs and use 2wd +98 Blazer hubs. My issue is, I want to be about 2" lower without the LCAs hitting the frame where the bumpstops mount. And without my ball joint angles going nuts causing the tires to wear blah blah ...

Nov 29, 2012 · i have a 4wd 92 s10 blazer that i want to convert to a 2wd so i can bag and eventually body drop it. what would be the best way to go without changing frames completly: get a front frame section off a 2wd truck or can i just change out the 4wd suspension parts with the 2wd stuff? i dont mind fabricating mounts and brackets if i need to.

Mar 14, 2009 · Back in the mid 90's when fullsize blazers only came in 4wd's I seen two people take a 2wd front clip and weld it on to the 4wd frame. I'm pretty sure there's a guy with 98+ a black 4dr that used to be a 4wd. I don't know his user ID though.

Jul 19, 2020 · To switch a 4L60E from 4wd to 2wd you have to switch the tail housing AND tail shaft. It's the last part to come out when disassembling the transmission. As much work as rebuilding your already 2wd trans. There are also internal valve differences between the 02 and 96. The 02 is an EC3 trans, but the 96 is not.
