Nov 19, 2020 · Mainly, the real-time combat where you don't directly control your Pokemon, but instead you tell it to do stuff, and it will do it in its own time, much like Digimon World 1. Utilizing hitboxes, physics, and real-time dodges for attacking and defending (Looking at you, Kenshi), it would be a lot more fast-paced and interesting, I think.

Jun 26, 2024 · The pet sim one ( digimon world, next order, redigitize ) And the jrpg one ( digimon world 3, dawn/dusk, cyber sleuth) And failure one ( digimon world 4) I played all of them. Would like to try the pokemon one thats similar to the 2nd type And what I have to know before I play.

Cyber Sleuth has some nice story elements but nothing to write home about, and i think a lot of digimon's charm is in the world mechanics, I prefer the vision of the digital world in World (weird stuff like the Bony Resort is super cool.) Really I wouldn't say no to them knuckling down and integrating the World mechanics into a turn based RPG.

Aug 27, 2021 · I love micromaging my monster stats, controlling the weight, discipline and tamer mistakes, problem is outside digimon monster capture or raising games have other priorities, and not even in digimon this mechanic prevailed. I have played all the games that play this way in digimon and i must have played digimon world 1 about 8 times

From there you can raise it up further by training it at your home gym. Digimon(this one and acquired ones) can still “die”, but it would take like a long time for that (maybe 700hrs of in game play time) however the resulting digimon from the egg will start off with higher stats and can more easily get back to the form you had(if you choose).

Digimon World signifies VPet mechanics, as with ReDigitize and Next Order. Digimon Story signifies a more traditional JRPG as with the first Digimon Story game (which was localized to Digimon World DS because the Western arms of the process still thought "Digimon World" was the name of the whole franchise).

I think most people would agree the best games are digimon world 1 and 3. I personally prefer 1 due to the fact that it has a lot of cool mechanics that I feel have not been replicated since. I really appreciate all of the v pet inspired mechanics such as having to feed your digimon, take it to the rest room, give it medicine, etc.

Jul 5, 2024 · They're pretty different, it depends if you enjoy the monster raising focus of World (as in, you have to grow, train, feed, etc. the digimon and they're eventually gonna die, rinse and repeat) or if you just want a traditional JRPG where you collect new digimon and evolve/level them up with exp through turn based battles.

Sep 29, 2020 · And the Evolve and DNA Evolution mechanics are a pain, DW1 isn't great requiring you to memorise the stats for each evolution but at least is only that, DW2 has DP (Digivolve Points) which alters the outcome evolution (and you need to DNA to raise the level cap)
