See post #3318 in the "BMW X3" topic for an update on the maintenance requirements of my wife's 2004 X3. It currently has over 96,000 miles on it and maintenance costs are still averaging @5 cents per mile- and that number included two sets of Pirelli PZero Nero All Season tires. The only warranty repair has been a passenger seat airbag sensor.

See consumeraffairs.com and several other web sites on the X3 transmission problems and I have my doubts that BMW did a good job here. I planned on getting one, but I have my doubts now. Last year, the X5 had a recall on the transmission and numerous series 3 owners are having a lot of severe issues with the transmission.

Perhaps the best way to view the X1 is as a 1-series five-door hatchback, reconstituted in a shape designed to appeal to Americans. While this is obvious pandering, at least this faux SUV is well-packaged, relatively efficient, and good to drive. In fact, it drives very much like a BMW car.

Hmm yesterday dealer zip code 33444 quoted me a MF of .00195 on a GLC 300 Base 4x2 I just posted something similar on BMW X3 forum and there you said BMW Allows dealers to mark up MF .0040, does Mercedes allow something similar. Both dealerships owned by auto nation, obviously auto nation likes inflating MF
