Sep 12, 2011 · I think the PLR-16 is best for most people with a good holographic red dot sight, but that's a budget buster for you. I'd shoot it with open sights for a while, and get a Sightron or EOTech XPS holo sight a bit later. The Sightron is a bit over $200 new. The $30 red dot sights are probably a waste of money on the PLR-16.

Nov 20, 2019 · Long before pistol braces were a thing, Kel-Tec introduced the adapter to mount AR butt stocks to the SU-16 and we were strongly cautioned against using the adapter to mount a butt stock to a PLR-16. That remains a very important point, but a pistol brace is not a butt stock. Then again, a bump stock wasn't a machine gun until last year.
