Feb 2, 2018 · The early model heads are interchangeable thru any model year CRF250X but later model ones have an emissions device (PAIR valve) so a small port must be blocked off (common mod, search 'CRF250X block off kit'). 2004-09 CRF250R cylinder heads also interchange and are sometimes preferred for better flow characteristics.
