Nov 23, 2015 · When I wanted to install a horn I bought the Hutchins because I remember the nice quality from when I was a kid. The 6 volts are much less expensive than the 12V. I had 3 resistors hanging around the shop and the almost perfect match for sound (with out overpowering the horn) was a spare for my 59 corvette.

Sep 7, 2020 · Hey Joey - My current 6v horn in my coupe is running fine on 12v. It may be living on borrowed time; however, I plan to do the same with another 6v horn I have for the roadster. The horn is definitely a fun part of the car. Could also go the resistor route.
