Is Red Star OS (North Korean OS) safe to download?
There is nothing illegal about installing Red Star OS that I am aware of, in any sane country. The worst it can possibly do is prevent you from accessing certain things, or, reporting what you're doing to a central server (and who cares, since you're not proposing to seriously use this for any productive work).

It's not running on a virtual machine, I might add, I mean it's properly installed. Had to use a DVD rom in order to make it happen since it's not so easy to just boot off a USB.
